AMERICANS FOR GUN SAFETY
Initiatives in Colorado and Oregon to close the “loophole in the Brady Bill” by requiring unlicensed gun sellers at gun shows to run background checks on gun buyers. (This is how the Columbine kids got their guns.) Both states have nearly 60% home gun ownership. Both still passed.

This independent expenditure turned around a failing campaign and helped re-elect a United States Senator.

Opposed California statewide ballot initiatives to require parental notification of abortions for minors.
BEAR HUNTING – HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE UNITED STATES
Washington State ballot initiative to ban the hounding and baiting of bears. When signature gathering on this initiative was lagging, I created this spot for HSUS to show at a news conference. The spot was carried repeatedly on local news stations statewide, resulting in 600,000 free signatures gathered within two weeks. The measure passed overwhelmingly and HSUS never had to air a paid commercial throughout the course of the campaign.
ARM WRESTLE
This spot ran only once, in the opening ceremonies of the 1984 Olympics. The call-in lines were flooded.

Recent campaign by the international Westfield Group in Arcadia, CA.
